Located at the corner of Mission Avenue and Greene Street in east Spokane, Spokane Community College is highly regarded for its professional-technical programs, including specialties in health sciences; information technology; industrial, manufacturing and automotive technology; hospitality and culinary arts; building trades; and agriculture and natural resource management. The college also has a strong educational tradition in the liberal arts. Students of all ages and ethnic origin choose SCC. Some are attracted by the college’s professional-technical programs, where they can learn specific skills that can be taken into the workplace following graduation. Some students already work full time, but attend school part time to obtain more skills and knowledge for on-the-job advancement. Other SCC students enroll in liberal arts programs so they can transfer to four-year institutions.
